ALL HANDS ON DECK! The 9/11 HOME AGAIN PARADE (Tigard, Oregon) is a very unique opportunity and honor for us to welcome home some of America's newest heroes and to recall, reflect and respect the sacrifices of so many civil servants and their families on 9/11. We have the honor of carrying the parade banner and being the forward most color guard. We will also have a trailer with our Iwo Jima reenactors on it and the unit at "full strength" in formation close by (also in the parade). Lunch will be provided by the organizers of the parade and everyone is asked to participate. Email absent{at}lcym.org if you cannot attend, but the goal is 100% participation. Plan on arriving to the Elks Lodge at 0630 to begin the sign in process. You may pick your Young Marines up at the Elks at 1530. Final formation will go at 1500 with any awards needing distribution. Uniform of the day for the unit is cammie alphas. Uniform of the day for the color guard is Service Charlies.
