Want to send your support to a Marine in harm's way, but have no idea of what to send, who to send it to, or how to send it?

We were forwarded an email from a military family friend who thought this would be a great humanitarian service we could perform as a unit.

If you are interested in helping out as an individual or family in addition to our unit project, please go to www.anymarine.com.  This site also links with other armed services, so if you are Navy, Army, etc., you can support any of those men/women also.

The service members we have chosen are:

Former Young Marine Zachary Rosling & Sgt Chad Lining (Rct Lining's Dad)

Rosling's National Guard unit is currently serving in Iraq and Sgt Lining's Marine unit is serving in Afghanistan.  Let’s show our Young Marine spirit and provide them with some great stuff!!

This is a great opportunity to serve our men and women that are deployed and to give of ourselves without remuneration.

"Loot for the Troops" Chair - Mrs. LeeAnne Colson

It would include collecting items such as:

Snacks: Chunky Soup, Campbell's Select Soup, Mini Ravioli, Salmon Jerky, Tuna Lunch Kit, Chicken Salad & Crackers, Fruit Cups, Snyders peanut & pretzel sandwiches, Raisins, fruit & oatmeal muffin bars, Lindens Large Chocolate Chip Cookies, Rice Krispies Treats, Nacho Cheese Crackers, Doritos & Chips, Combos Pizzeria Pretzels, Snickers and M&M Kudo Bars, Slim Jims, Chex Mix, Honey Roasted Peanuts, Sunflower Seeds, Gatorade or Kool-aid, Coffee and sugar packets, Tea bags or Hot Cider, an assortment of hard candies

Or

Hygiene items: Anti-bacterial Wipes, Hand/Foot warmers, Nail Clippers, Tweezers, Foot Powder, Deodorant, Sunscreen, First Aid Kit, Medicated Lip Balm w/SPF 15, Dental Travel Kit (includes Toothbrush, Toothpaste and Floss or mouth wash) Shampoo, Comb, Razors, Shaving Gel, Hand Sanitizer, Cotton swabs, tissues, toilet paper, and an assortment of gum

and then mailing them as a package to our selected platoon.
